We are bridging the knowledge gap between parents and professionals in Special Education.

Who is Absolute Speducation and what do we do?

Absolute Speducation is your resource and cheat sheet for understanding Special Education.

My name is Taylor, I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism and I have worked with private and public entities in the field of Special Education for over ten years. I have worked both at the classroom and management level, and during all of my time, I noticed a consistent theme of families wanting to support their children but not knowing what to do, what to say, or what specific language to use. I would spend as much time as possible educating the families I worked with to help them be in a better place to support and understand Special Education as it pertains to their child.

After many years of working directly with students and schools, I realized I could make a more significant difference by supporting and educating the families.

We have free resources that help go over different acronyms, jargon, and aspects of Special Education and even some resources to help your child learn to advocate for themselves. We have courses designed to explain Special Education to you in a way that is easily understood and can help you know exactly what is happening with your child at school. Additionally, we offer personalized training and consultation for any family or company wanting to go a step further in their education and preparedness for working with Special Education.

Taylor Kohn is our resident Special Education expert who provides all consultation and support. She has dedicated her life to learning about disabilities, special education, and advocacy, and she works to relay her knowledge in a meaningful and beneficial way to the people around her. Taylor has a Master’s Degree in Special Education and continues to grow her knowledge by taking continuing education classes and staying up to date on research.

After working for schools in a variety of roles for over ten years, Taylor realized that one of the most significant areas of need for children and their families was the lack of family knowledge of the procedures, legal rights, and processes that are in place to guide Special Education decisions and supports.

Taylor looks forward to working with you and improving your experience with Special Education!

In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is an active member of her community and gives back by donating time and resources to local foster children.
